Bishop Richard J. Malone will lead a group representing more than 95 parishes from across the Diocese of Buffalo in a prayer service and reflection at the start of the social justice convocation at Christ the King Seminary on Saturday.

The morning session will focus the new diocesan social services map which is live on both the Diocese of Buffalo's website and the Catholic Charities' website.  The map, developed by Catholic Charities and McGuire Development, is a comprehensive resource listing social service ministries and programs offered by diocesan parishes and other Catholic-related organizations.  The information was gathered from around the diocese and catalogued so the interactive map could be developed.

Following lunch, there will be a keynote address by Dr. Marvin Mich who will speak on "Moving from Service to Advocacy."

The afternoon sessions will cover the following topics: pro-life and the family, food security and food access, prison reform and criminal justice, care for creation, immigration and refugee assistance, and homelessness and housing.
