Daybreak TV Productions of the Diocese of Buffalo was honored to produce the Christmas Midnight Mass that will air on ABC television stations nationwide on December 24 and 25.

Bishop Edward U. Kmiec, bishop of Buffalo, celebrates the Mass at the Felician Sisters' Immaculate Heart of Mary Convent Chapel at the Villa Maria Convent Complex, Buffalo.   Daybreak chose Villa Maria's Chapel for its architectural design that is both beautiful and ideal for multiple camera placement.

Highlights of the Mass include music by the St. Joseph Cathedral Festival Chorus and the Paraclete Conservatory Chamber Choir.

The one-hour program, entitled, Come All Ye Faithful: Christmas Midnight Mass, will be broadcast by an estimated 90 percent of ABC stations across the United States.   To date, about 75 percent of the ABC-TV affiliates across the United States have committed to airing the Mass, including affiliates in New York City, Los Angeles and Boston.

Come All Ye Faithful: Christmas Midnight Mass is part of the liturgical programming offered through the Interfaith broadcasting Commission (IBC).  Since 1980 the IBC has provided faith-based documentary and liturgical programming to the affiliates of America's three major television networks.  For more information on where and when the Mass will be aired across the country, visit the IBC's website at http://interfaithbroadcasting.com/program_onair.aspx?PID=355

The Christmas Mass production was made possible by a grant from the Vincent and Harriet Palisano Foundation.

Come All Ye Faithful; Christmas Midnight Mass DVDs will be available for purchase after the broadcast.  Call (716) 847-8721 to order this or other Daybreak programs, or visit Daybreak's website at www.daybreaktv.org.
