Daybreak TV Productions has re-produced "St. Joseph Cathedral," the 30-minute documentary that chronicles the history of Buffalo's Catholic cathedral and its role in the Diocese of Buffalo. WKBW-TV Channel 7 will air the documentary on Memorial Day, Monday, May 30, at 10:30 a.m.
The latest edition of the documentary contains updated beauty shots in high definition including drone footage from over the top and through the interior of the cathedral. Daybreak also added an interview with Bishop Richard J. Malone and footage from his installation as the bishop of Buffalo, as well as an interview with Tim Socha, current cathedral music director.
Originally produced in 2005, the documentary also has interviews with Bishop Edward U. Kmiec, Archbishop Henry J. Mansell, Bishop Donald W. Trautman and Msgr. James F. Campbell, former rector/cathedral historian.
The original and re-edited documentaries were funded by the Vincent and Harriet Palisano Foundation.
