After a national search, Jill Cole has been named director of Residence Life and Judicial Affairs at Hilbert College. Cole began her new role in July.
Cole has served in various roles in the Office of Housing and Residence Life at Daemen College, including a stint as associate director of Residential Education. She also held the roles of resident coordinator, assistant director of Housing and Residence Life, and interim director of Housing and Residence Life.
Most recently, Cole was a consultant for Campus Labs, where she maintained a portfolio of 45 campuses throughout the northeast providing education, training and support on student engagement, success and other trends in higher education.
Cole is well versed in sexual assault education, student engagement, compliance and various student affairs topics. She is a member of several committees and professional associations, including the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators. Cole is certified in CPR and Safe Zone Training, and she has completed numerous trainings related to diversity and campus safety.
Cole earned her master's degree in higher education administration and adult learning from Post University and her bachelor's degree in business economics from SUNY Cortland. Her parents (Mike Cole '81 and Beth Ward '82) are Hilbert alumni.
Cole, originally from Rochester, currently resides in Buffalo.
