Christmas is creeping up fast. Your "to do" list seems to be getting longer instead of shorter. You start to feel jumpy, nervous and, yes, even a bit crabby during this jolly, holiday season. And to top it off ... inevitably you miss a holiday television special that you wait all year to watch.

What I have found very helpful is a taped list on my refrigerator with show names, dates and times. So in the spirit of holiday list making, I took the liberty of making one.

Saturday Dec. 14 at 5:30 a.m. on WKBW-TV Ch. 7 - "Our Daily Bread" Diabetic Cooking

On this edition of "Our Daily Bread," host Father Paul D. Seil, is in the kitchen with Ann Marie Smokowski, a registered dietitian, certified diabetes educator and certified dietitian/nutritionist at South Buffalo Mercy Hospital in Buffalo. Just in time for the holidays, Smokowski shows Father Seil how to prepare a few healthy recipes.

Saturday Dec. 14 at noon on WKBW-TV Ch. 7 - "Legacy of Victory: Remembering Father Baker"

This 90-minute documentary looks at the life and accomplishments of this extraordinary man whose charity and service to others continues to impact the lives of thousands. It serves as a fine appetizer for the Jan. 21, 2014, premiere of "Building a Basilica," Daybreak's new documentary about the creation of Our Lady of Victory Basilica in Lackawanna.

Saturday Dec. 21 at noon on WKBW-TV Ch. 7 - "Our Daily Bread" Advent Program

This festive show will feature Father Seil, whipping up some holiday goodies. Joining him in the kitchen is Father Jack Ledwon, pastor of St. Joseph University Parish in Buffalo. Together they talk about the time of Advent. A blessing will be offered at the end of the show by Bishop Richard J. Malone.
