Lectio Divina Workshop. Experience a prayerful encounter with Jesus through Lectio Divina. This traditional prayer form is based on contemplation of Scripture through meditative reading. Participants will experience Lectio Divina and will be equipped to lead small groups in this method. 6th Annual Break the Cycle Bike-A-Thon & Walk honoring the lives of those affected by domestic violence. The Erie County Commission for the Status of Women, along with several domestic violence service providers, will be holding the 6th Annual "Break the Cycle Bike-a-Thon & Walk" on Saturday, September 26 at Isle View Park in Tonawanda, NY. Following the Bike-a-Thon & Walk, a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Tribute Garden will take place, along with a celebration of music, basket raffles, and light food and refreshments. One in four women will be a victim of domestic violence at some point in their life; the Garden will act as a permanent memorial to those who have lost their lives to domestic violence, as well as to honor the lives of survivors. Teams of Our Lady is a program that seeks to promote authentic married love that not only leads to God but also to a more intimate and enriching relationship with one's spouse. Journey Into Love. The Office of Family Life Ministries is looking for married couples to assist with the monthly diocesan marriage preparation program, Journey Into Love. Married couples help by giving a 20 minute talk once or twice a year on essential topics and issues that engaged and newly married couples face. Married couples that support this ministry find it beneficial to their own marriage and their efforts contribute to the strengthening of family life as couples prepare for their marriage. Though we can't imagine all the thoughts and feelings you are experiencing right now, we do understand a bit about grieving and that, first of all, it is a process.
