TONAWANDA — The Grief Support Group of St. Christopher Parish will have Dr. Amy Beth Taublieb as the monthly speaker on May 11 at 6:30 p.m. Taublieb is nationally known for her work as a clinical psychologist who has helped many people deal with their grief throughout the years.
Taublieb has been a guest on many television programs. The focus of her talk will be the importance of nurturing yourself during grief and how the need to journey through grief gives meaning to ones continued living.
She will explore ways to nurture during grief which includes physically, emotionally, cognitively, socially and spiritually. Understanding one's grief is vital to healing, which is why St. Christopher's Walking With Grief Program hosts a speaker who provides knowledge and insight each month. After the presentation, there is an option to participate in support groups. The groups are conducted in a confidential, non-threatening atmosphere.
Taublieb's presentation, which is open to all, will take place at 530 Ellicott Creek Road on the St Edmund campus of St. Christopher.
