Park Creek Assisted Living Community is in the heart of Williamsville at 410 Mill St. It has room for 94 residents in need of traditional assisted living or memory care.  

It is individually owned and operated and takes pride in the loving care it provides and the hard work that is undertaken in order to maintain its goal of quality care at an affordable cost.  

The former Holy Family Home operated by the Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis, Park Creek was purchased, renovated and re-opened in September 2007.  Fortunately the beautiful full-sized chapel was kept intact and is utilized daily as having a place to worship within an assisted living setting is very important to the residents and visitors of the community.

Not only is the property a wonderful gem, the staff and residents are too. As people age, spirituality remains and can become as important as proper nutrition, medication management and socialization. In fact, for many seniors, continuing to proceed on and enrich their spiritual journey becomes an important part of their daily life.  

With many of the tasks of life being managed by Park Creek, they have a greater opportunity to pursue spiritual growth if they choose, enhancing their relationship with God. Park Creek is fortunate to have Sister Mary Lou Schnitzer, a sister of St. Joseph, as their Pastoral Care Chaplain.  There is always something happening in the chapel.  

Every day at 11 a.m. there is either Mass celebrated  by one of the wonderful visiting priests Msgr. Leo McCarthy or Father Sam Venne,  or the rosary is said and Communion offered by Sister Mary Lou and/or Judie Rebl who is an activity assistant and Eucharistic minister. Such activities, for many interested residents, help them to build or maintain the inner strength they derive from the spiritual connection that supports them, especially at those times when they face illness, recovery or losses in their lives.

While events such as these are listed on the activity calendar, what is not printed is the amazing ministry that happens quietly behind the scenes which has a ripple effect throughout the community and beyond. Sister Mary Lou brings forth a beautiful spiritual program to residents, their families and staff as well.  

Some of the many opportunities for spiritual enrichment include a quarterly retreat for residents especially during Lent and Advent; praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet; and visiting residents in hospitals or rehabilitation facilities.  Sister Mary Lou immerses herself in group activities as well as administers one to one spiritual support and will also bring Communion to the room of a resident if requested.  The chapel is open daily for private meditation.

There are so many special people at Park Creek.  The public is always welcome to come in any time to attend an event, take a tour, or to worship.
