Tickets are available now for the second annual Mega Raffle to benefit St. Mary of the Assumption Parish, Lancaster, and St. Mary's Elementary School. Mega raffle made its debut in 2016 with a Grand Prize offering of $20,000, in addition to other cash prizes. This year, the Grand Prize has been increased to $25,000 - with a limit of 650 tickets being sold, at a cost of $100 each.
By purchasing a Mega Raffle ticket, participants are entered into a drawing to win the Grand Prize or: one $1,000 prize; one of two $500 prizes; one of two $250 prizes, or one of four $150 prizes. Ticket number preferences are available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
A live drawing event will be held on Friday, June 2, at St. Mary's Elementary School. The Mega Raffle ticket price includes admission for two people to the event, as well as two drinks. The event will feature music, and pizza and soft drinks will be provided. Additional beer and wine will be available for purchase, and raffles will be held for a number of items including a gas grill, a $250 money tree, a lottery ticket tree, A BeachBody fitness basket, and an assortment of gift cards with a total value of $200. Prize recipients need not be present to win.
Co-chairing Mega Raffle for the second consecutive year are St. Mary's parishioners Mary Kate and Steven DeMarzio, who are parents of two children attending St. Mary's Elementary.
"Last year, tickets sold out early and as of today, we have already sold more than 450, with approximately 200 remaining," said Mary Kate DeMarzio. "We encourage interested persons to get their tickets soon, especially if you have a 'lucky ticket number' in mind."
