KENMORE — The St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute Visual and Performing Arts Department is proud to announce the upcoming production of "Arsenic and Old Lace," written by Joseph Kesselring. The performances will take place in the Cullen Theater for the Arts at St. Joe's on Friday, Nov. 3 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 4 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 5 at 2 p.m.
In addition to the young men from St. Joe's, the actors, stage crew, and technical staff include young women from Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts, Christian Central Academy, Nardin Academy, and Sacred Heart Academy. The show marks the 11th annual St. Joe's fall drama production, one of many activities for students within the school's robust Visual and Performing Arts Department.
"The students are really enjoying bringing this dark comedy to life," stated St. Joe's Alumnus Paschal Frisina III '96, the play's director and producer. "All of the young men and women who contribute to the performance - both onstage and backstage - have an incredible level of talent and energy."
"Arsenic and Old Lace," a black comedy, tells the story of the wacky and homicidally insane Brewster family.
Tickets are on sale now through the St. Joe's Main Office during the school day.
