Three parish priests have received a third six-year term appointment by Bishop Richard J. Malone and two deacons have been given new assignments.
Father John J. Cullen, Father Louis S. Klein and Father Donald J. Lutz all will remain at their current parishes until March 2024. Each originally served as administrator and then was named pastor in 2006. Father Cullen is pastor of St. Mary Parish, Canaseraga; Father Klein is pastor of Queen of Martyrs Parish, Cheektowaga; and Father Lutz is pastor at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Buffalo.
Deacon Richard Stachura was assigned to ministry of charity in the baptismal program at St. Mary Parish, Swormville, for a term of three years. His first assignments after being ordained in 2012 were at St. Mary, Swormville, and The Villages of Orleans Health and Rehabilitation Center, Albion.
Deacon James Trzaska has been assigned to ministry of charity at Asbury Pointe, Getzville, for a term of three years. Following his ordination in 2008, he ministered at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish, Depew, and at Sisters of Charity Hospital. In 2011, Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament merged with St. Barnabas, Depew, to form St. Martha Parish.
