The Response To Love Center is collecting everyday cleaning supplies that will be distributed to the people in need during our Christmas Eve dinner.

The volunteers and staff at Response to Love realized that items like this were needed through daily conversation and interaction with the people who visit the center.

"We have done collections similar to this for a number of years. Pillows one year, diapers another and towels and soap last year," said Richard Gurbacki, member of the board of directors.

The supplies needed for this year's collection are spray cleaning solutions, dishtowels, paper towels, dish soap, window cleaner, toilet cleaning supplies, sponges, brushes, laundry soap and bleach.

Collection boxes are available at the following locations and dates. "The churches and the Flying Bison Brewery have participated for years. The others through my solicitation starting this year," Gurbacki said.

• St. Stephen Church, Baseline Road, Grand Island, after Mass on Saturday Dec. 8 and Sunday, Dec. 9
• St. Andrew Church, Sheridan Drive, Kenmore, after Mass on Saturday, Dec. 8 and Sunday, Dec. 9
• St. Christopher Church, Niagara Falls Boulevard, Tonawanda, after Mass on Saturday, Dec. 8 and Sunday, Dec. 9
• Flying Bison Brewery, 840 Seneca St., Buffalo, from now until Monday, Dec. 10
• Community Beer Works, 520 Seventh St., Buffalo, from now until Monday, Dec. 10
• Hamburg Brewing, 6553 Boston State Road, Hamburg, from now until Monday, Dec. 10
• NY Beer Project, 6933 South Transit, Lockport, from now until Monday, Dec. 10
• Lakeward Spirits, 65 Vandalia St., Buffalo from now until Monday, Dec. 10
