LANCASTER — St. Mary of the Assumption Parish will hold sessions for the intergenerational faith formation program Generations of Faith from Saturday, Dec. 5 through Monday, Dec. 7 at the parish center.
Generations of Faith will hold a session from April 2 through April 4, 2016. The program is designed for entire families to join other families to learn and grow together in their Catholic faith.
Families have their choice of attending either on Saturday or Sunday morning, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., or on Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. There is no fee and participants can bring snacks to be served during the sessions.
For the 2015/16 Generations of Faith program, St. Mary's is focusing on the life and teachings of Pope Francis. During the recent October sessions, participants reflected on the Holy Father's September visit to the United States.
St. Mary Parish holds family faith formation classes on Sunday mornings from September through May. In addition to regular Sunday classes and Generations of Faith sessions, the 2015/16 program will include a two-evening Lenten Reflection on Wednesday, Feb. 24 and Thursday, Feb. 25, jointly presented by St. Mary, Our Lady of Pompeii Parish in Lancaster, and St. Martha Parish in Depew.
St. Mary Parish also offers traditional faith formation classes for children in grades kindergarten through five, as well as EDGE for middle school students and Life Teen for high school students. In addition, a full menu of sacramental preparation programs is provided.
