This month on "Our Daily Bread," host Father Paul D. Seil takes a ride out to Arcade, located in the southwest corner of Wyoming County.
Cooking with longtime friend and brother priest, Father Joseph Gullo, Father Seil spends the day preparing food made with milk: strawberry ice cream, mozzarella cheese and Caprese salad. Over 1 billion pounds of milk are produced annually from over 53,000 cows within Wyoming County.
Two parishioners join the priests on this show. Sarah Youngers, owner of Youngers Dairy Farm, makes mozzarella cheese, while Doug Berwanger, parishioner, dairy farmer and supervisor of Wyoming County, talks to Father Seil regarding milk production in Wyoming County.
"Father Joe has been on 'Our Daily Bread' three times now," said Father Seil. "He exudes joy, and he is clearly loved by his parishioners in Arcade."
Father Gullo is the pastor of New St. Mary Church in Arcade. In 2007, SS. Peter & Paul in Arcade, St. Mary Parish in East Arcade and Blessed Sacrament Church in Delevan merged, forming the New St. Mary Parish.
