DEPEW — "The Story of Faith," two evenings of powerful and insightful theatrical presentations by Frank Runyeon, will take place next month.
On Monday, March 20, Runyeon's "John: Signs of Mercy" will bring to life, in a spellbinding performance, the power of John's Gospel. On March 21, "Matthews' Sermon on the Mount" will be told in a revealing new setting, where all present will have the sense that the sermon is about them. This will be followed by "Hollywood vs. Faith," where Runyeon will discuss different values the media teach and people's choices as Christians.
Both nights' presentations will be at St. Martha Church on French Road. The event is being co-sponsored by Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta Parish in Depew, Our Lady of Pompeii Parish in Lancaster and St. Mary Parish in Lancaster as well as St. Martha's.
Attendees are encouraged to participate both evenings, but may attend only one of the two nights. The St. Martha Parish community welcomes this opportunity to come together to be inspired during the holy season of Lent and mingle with neighboring parishes.
Runyeon has starred in over 1,000 television shows over the past 35 years and is nationally acclaimed for his work as a performer of Biblical texts. He is also an honors graduate of General Theological Seminary and Princeton University.
