In Jeremiah 29:11, the prophet tells us, "I know the plans I have for you; plans for a future filled with hope." Although there is currently no Catholic School located there, the seeds of hope for the future of Catholic Education are being nurtured in North Tonawanda. 

As with many communities, there was great sadness when North Tonawanda Catholic School closed. The community was close knit and like a little family. Although it has been eight years since the school closed, a group of grateful and dedicated people gathered to create an event, reconnect, and establish a scholarship fund for Catholic education for residents in North Tonawanda.  The group is headed by Victoria Dorfer Braun, a former student from the consolidated North Tonawanda Catholic School and Kimberly Renda, class of 2005. Dorfer Braun started a Facebook page to invite people from the former Ascension, Our Lady of Czestochowa and St. Joseph schools to reconnect.

On April 8, a group of 10 former teachers, administrators, parents, alumni and students met to begin planning the North Tonawanda Catholic Schools Family Night to be held in July. The event will be open to anyone connected with any of the former Catholic Schools located in North Tonawanda. All former students, alumni, parents, friends, faculty and administrators are invited to "like" the Facebook page at www.facebook.com/NTCReunion/ and join in the planning.
