Sister Margaret Anthony Domin, OSF, a longtime diocesan educator, died March 7, 2017, at age 82.

Sister Margaret Anthony, baptized Florence Veronica, was born May 25, 1934, to John and Katherine (Bozek) Domin of Boston, NY, who came to the U.S. from Poland. She joined the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Francis of the Third Order Regular of Buffalo, now the Sisters of St. Francis of the Neumann Communities in Williamsville, in 1952 and professed final religious vows in 1958.

She received a bachelor's degree in education from Medaille College in Buffalo, and a master's degree in the same field of study from State University College at Buffalo. Sister Margaret Anthony went on to serve as a teacher for students in grades one through eight for a total of 37 years.

She taught at St. Leo the Great School in Amherst, St. James School and Holy Name in Buffalo, Most Holy Redeemer in Cheektowaga, Annunciation in Elma, SS Peter and Paul in Hamburg, St. Mary in Lancaster, Nativity of Our Lord in Orchard Park, Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Silver Creek, St. Francis of Assisi in Tonawanda, Queen of Heaven in West Seneca, and St. John the Baptist in West Valley.

Later in her ministry, Sister Margaret Anthony served at Holy Family Home in Williamsville, where she was a pastoral care minister and coordinator of residents' services.

She is survived by two sisters, Catherine Fairchild and Helen Nese; and a brother, Walter Domin.

A funeral Mass was held in the order's St. Mary of the Angels Chapel in Williamsville, followed by burial in Gethsemane Cemetery on the convent grounds.
