Father Schimscheiner was born in Niagara Falls and upon graduation from Bishop Duffy High School he entered the Oblates of St Francis deSales and was ordained a priest on February 6, 1965.

Father Schimscheiner spent many years teaching at DeSales Catholic High School and serving as pastor of Saint Patrick Parish in Lockport. He also founded with Sister Helen Buscarino a food pantry which continues to serve the people of Lockport. 

Funeral services will be private.
